Able Bodied Seaman ONLINE COURSE
ABLE-BODIED SEAMAN
Any applicant who has successfully completed our 43-hour Able Seaman course and who presents our Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Center WITHIN ONE YEAR of the completion of training, will satisfy the written examination requirements for the “Deck General & Navigation General” and “Deck Safety & Rules of the Road” exam modules for any Able Seaman endorsement. This course does not satisfy the training or assessment requirements of Section A-II/4 and Table A-II/4 of the STCW Code for Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch.
MARLINSPIKE SEAMANSHIP this is included with the ABLE SEAMAN Course. Any applicant successfully completing our 8-hour Marlinspike Seamanship Course and presenting our Certificate of Training at a Regional Exam Center, will satisfy the knot tying practical examination requirements for any Able Seaman endorsement.
PLEASE NOTE: Completion of the course alone DOES NOT automatically assure you will receive a U.S.C.G. Credential. There are a number of U.S.C.G. requirements which must be met before an applicant is eligible for the license. Click here to read the USCG LICENSING REQUIREMENTS. If you intend to get the license, you must submit an application and all appropriate paperwork to the USCG for approval. This can be accomplished before or after completion of the online course.
